Collingwood-s50
Engine room artificer apprentice and Shipwright artificer apprentice S50 entrants into the Royal Navy came together as Collingwood division, HMS Caledonia, Rosyth, in January 1965.
During their stay at Caledonia until August 1967, this close knit group from all backgrounds in life had many experiences, mostly good. The stories held in the memories of the lads about this period in their lives would certainly fill several books, horror, comedy, adventure, you name it.
The lads are now spread far and wide. Most have been contacted and form part of a reunion group but if you are a lost Collingwood soul, or have an interest, please don't hesitate to leave a message.
Welcome to the web site of the H.M.S. Phoebe Association.
The association exists to promote comradeship between those who served, either on the cruiser or the frigate that bore the Phoebe name, their families and friends.
Please browse the site and feel free to give feedback to the webmaster. If you have stories about the Phoebe or its crews, or you have photographs that you think others may like to see, please contact the webmaster. All photographs will be returned.
